Summary

We are looking for a CRO / VP of BizDev to drive revenue-generating efforts in our growth phase. You will be responsible for sales success, developing scalable business development processes, and building a high-performing BizDev team. Reporting directly to the founder and working closely with them, you will shape and execute the company’s go-to-market strategy, aligning all revenue operations to achieve sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

  1. Energy Trading & Risk Management
    1. Oversee day-to-day energy trading and balancing (aggregation) operations to optimize revenue and operational efficiency.
    2. Provide Product and Technology team with structured inputs and feedback to develop and enhance our energy trading and balancing related features
    3. Drive co-development effort with our strategic partners by proving expertise
    4. Identify a and develop risk mitigation strategies in line with relevant regulations (METI, TSO, OCCTO, JEPX, EPRX).
  2. Strategic Leadership & Business Expansion
    1. Formulate and execute short- and long-term strategies to launch and grow aggregation services and related SaaS features.
    2. Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Finance, Technology, Business Development, etc.) to align feature roadmaps, market entry plans, and resource allocation
    3. Maintain proactive relationships with regulatory authorities (METI, TSO, OCCTO, JEPX, EPRX), staying current on policy updates to ensure full compliance and unlock new market opportunities.
  3. Financial & Regulatory Oversight (in collaboration with Finance team)
    1. Work closely with Finance teams to establish financial models, budgets, and forecasts for energy trading operations, aggregator services, and product feature enhancements.
    2. Provide insights into compliance, credit risk, and market risk management, ensuring alignment with internal governance frameworks and external regulations.
  4. Stakeholder & Team Management
    1. Serve as customer support function for aggregation services and energy trading features, ensuring high customer satisfaction, swift issue resolution, and ongoing feedback loops to inform product enhancements.
    2. Serve as the principal point of contact for high-level negotiations with external partners (e.g., utilities, investors, technology vendors), and coordinate aggregator partnerships and customer relationships.
    3. Conduct regular reporting to executive leadership on key metrics, highlighting wins, risks, and strategic recommendations for continuous improvement.
    4. Lead and mentor cross-functional teams (as we develop the Energy Business Team), including aggregation operators, analysts, other technical specialists, and customer support staff, ensuring clear goal-setting, performance management, and professional growth.
