Financial Planning and Analysis

Position Overview

We are seeking someone who can oversee the entire process from business planning to execution and impact analysis, and drive company growth together with the management team.

Background

The renewable energy industry is experiencing rapid growth and change. Tensor Energy is a startup developing and operating Tensor Cloud, an AI cloud platform that provides comprehensive support for financial and power management in renewable energy generation business.

Founded three years ago, while we have focused on core technology and product development, we are now aiming for rapid business expansion and establishing our market position. This requires strategic business planning and effective financial management. At this crucial stage, we are recruiting a Financial Planning professional who will take charge of everything from business planning to execution and impact analysis, leading the company's growth alongside the management team. Specifically, you will be responsible for a wide range of FP&A tasks including business plan development, budget management, setting and monitoring business KPIs, investor communications, preparation of management meeting and monthly report materials, and budget vs. actual management.

Responsibilities

• Business Planning and Budget ManagementAnnual and quarterly business planning, budget formulation and monitoring in coordination with each department
• Business KPI Setting and MonitoringIssue identification and improvement proposals through KPI analysis, establishing data-driven reporting
• Management Material CreationPreparation of monthly and quarterly management meeting materials, creation and improvement of investor pitch materials
• Budget vs. Actual ManagementGap analysis between actual data and plans, proposing necessary corrective measures
• Investor and Stakeholder RelationsInvestor communications, preparation of explanatory materials, and due diligence support

Requirements

• Practical experience in business planning, budget management, and financial analysis (3+ years)
• Basic knowledge of accounting and finance
• Excellent communication skills in Japanese and English (business level or above)
• Flexibility and self-motivation in startup or multinational environments

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience in the renewable energy industry
• First-grade bookkeeping qualification or equivalent
